Some of our students participate on a Wizard’s Wardrobe Odyssey of the Mind team. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational competition that promotes creative problem-solving skills. It encourages participants to work in teams and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature and the arts. Students write a play describing how they will solve a given problem; build a structure, vehicle or piece of technology pertinent to the problem; make scenery and costumes and present the play to judges. Our team won first place one year in the regional competition in its category, second place two other years and went on to state finals three years in a row.
